Troy and Brenda Hall of Bolingbrook, Illinois, operated a successful general printing service, Graphics Dynamite, out of their home garage in 1990. As the company began to perfect the art of creating memorable keepsakes, the Halls dreamed of something more. They wanted to specialize in obituaries and making keepsake memories of deceased loved ones.
Perfecting the obituary became the niche of their business, and the Halls' business was recognized by the local press, including CLTV, WGN-TV, the Chicago Sun-Times, the Hyde Park Herald, the SouthTown Economist, the Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Crusader and countless numbers of radio stations.
By 1997, Troy and Brenda Hall transformed Graphics Dynamite into The Obituary Service, now located at 8248 S. Cottage Grove in Chicago. It has since grown to be the premier outlet for obituary printing and keepsake mementos in the Chicago land area, and now the challenge of the next level.
As we are transitioning the reigns over to the second generation of our family (Anthony, Tiffany and Jason) we, (Brenda & Troy) believe that the Internet will allow us to take our products and services to the entire country and give us the opportunity to meet and serve a great deal more of needing families, funeral homes, churches and businesses.
